Going to have to post some Linton Kwesi Johnson. There is the written word, the spoken word and word set to music. Within music there is also the unintelligible word, where the listener can not understand what is being said, but gets something from how the words are vocalized. Maybe too when you listen to music in a foriegn language. Japanese punk rock sung in english can fit almost too easily into your category of "simple/ridiculous/incomprehensible lyrics".
